Project: Learning Media Orb

2022 - Present

Produced a learning model that analyzes transmedia franchises - such as The Witcher, Marvel Universe, or Lord of the Rings - in the context of motivation, aspects of how people learning and varying teaching philosophies. Model included an interactive map for teachers to utilize in their own performance of understanding and curriculum building needs.

• conducted primary and secondary research and analysis (transmedia, motivation, cognitive science, human development and relevant teaching philosophies)

• creatively problem-solved and fused multiple learning design, motivation, and cognitive science concepts into one multi-modal model

• utilized design thinking and prototyping to produce informational materials for teachers, and teacher resources for instructional design purposes

• produced all graphic designs for prototype

Intended Outcomes:

• provide upskilling for teachers looking to expand curriculum relevance to student interests and scaffold knowledge transfer

• provide transmedia learning frameworks for teacher's curriculum and instructional design needs

• inspire learning through storytelling and the entertainment industry canon
